Independent site

Tax Debt Calc is a private publication. It is not run, endorsed or paid for by the Internal Revenue Service, the Treasury, the Taxpayer Advocate Service, any other government agency, a tax resolution firm, a law firm or a lender.

General information, not advice

The pages describe federal tax rules and the calculators apply them to the figures you type. Nothing here is tax, legal or financial advice, or a recommendation to choose a payment plan, an offer or any other option. Your IRS account, your notices and the financial information the IRS reviews decide what applies, and the IRS decides on every plan, offer and penalty relief.

Liability

Rules and rates are read on official texts and the calculators are tested before each release, but rules change and errors cannot be excluded. The publisher is not liable for a decision taken on the basis of the site alone. Errors can be reported through the contact page.

Intellectual property

Texts, design and code belong to the publisher; short quotations with a link are welcome. The Internal Revenue Code and IRS texts quoted here are public.

Embedding

The tax debt calculator may be embedded for free with its credit line visible: see the embed page.

Personal data and cookies

What you type in the calculators stays in your browser. The site sets Google Analytics audience measurement cookies (_ga, _ga_4DNNFRDST9, 13 months at most), with no advertising; page stability is monitored with Microsoft Clarity, cookie-free. Details, legal basis and how to object: privacy policy and cookies page.

Reporting unlawful content

Write to contact@taxdebtcalc.com with the page address.

Governing law

French law applies; failing an amicable settlement, the courts of France have jurisdiction. Updated: 2026-10-20.

Results are estimates built on the penalty rules of the Internal Revenue Code, the interest rates the IRS publishes each quarter, the payment plan fees and the Collection Financial Standards in force, applied to the figures you type. This is not tax advice, and the IRS decides: your transcript, notices and the financial statement it reviews are what count. We receive nothing from any tax resolution firm, lender or preparer.
